                                                                                                            Dear Sister
I recived your cind and welcome letter and was very glad to here from you, and that you are all well and enjoying good health. I recived a letter from Wm shortly before I recived yours he had already got so that could write to me. he sayd he had taken them off the splints long enough to write to me. I was very sorrey to here that he met with such bad accident, but I am glad it was not worse than it was. Mother sent me word a little / to late not to reinlist you will see by two letters that I rote one to you and one to Father that I have allready done so, but I am in hopes to see you all soon I think we will start in the middle of March next which will soon be at hand. so you say all the young girls are getting married I am afraid that thare wont be aney that I know but what will be when I get thare I must make a few inquire as it has just pooped into my head, and hope you will inform me as I fell some what interrested. How is Jane the girl that worked at Parrotets the one I had / the sleigh ride with, with old Baker. I havent aney doupd but you remember the time. If you see hir give hir by best respects and you will oblige me very much. There is a young man bunks with me Frank Whipple requests of you and me to give his love to Ann Tompson. We think some of having a grand old time if ever we get thare thare will be sevral boys that will likely want to stay with me at our house if they can. What would you say to it if I should marrey some one when I get home. thare will likely be some that will get married out of our crowd so I / mint be tempted to do the same. But thare isent much danger of that I think I have ben reciveing letters from one since I have be in La but I have concluded to quit it. Perhaps you know who she is. I have ben told that they are fast after old Vettrans if that is the case I think we aught to stand a good chance among them. I have heard that Jonathen Squares has got his discharge I would like to know wether he is after Neal Veader Theadore and I have had had some fun about him. But my sheat is nearly filled and it is getting late so I must quit for this time Give my love and respects to all inquireing friends this from your cincere and affectionate brother J Bartell
