Dear Sister
Having nothing to do at present I thought I would sit down and write you a few lines to inform you that I am well at and hope these few lines will find you the same I had not much time to write to do untill now as we have been marching we are camped at the edge of Town our Divishion is Guarding this place it is a small town but of a great eal of importence to us Rosecrans Head Quarters were her till the other day he move to the front our advance force is at steevenson Alabama where we were camped last August. Bragg is supposed to / Be at Chattanooga with about 75000 men. The weather has been very warm for some time but it is very cold at night and it is not very comfortable sleeping without blankets all our knapsacks were burnt with the supply train bettween Manchester and Murfreesboro, but we are drawing new clothing now in place of them This is a very sickly place as there is no runing stream of any accout the country around here is very barren and almost worthless it is one of the many ridges that are in this state
Well my news is about to an end I will write a gain soon I want you to ansuer this as soon as you get it es as I am anxious to hear from home
