            Lieut Garrison
 
                                    I send a small package which you will please cary Ed. and say to him I have some summer clothing for him which I will send when he desires it. I had a dispatch from him this morning—they were at Atlanta. our boys all well. Tell him to write often. you must not forget your promis to write. Capt Owen is going to Brandon to morrow morning on his way to Va he spoke of going on with your Father and your self—you might write Gus and Love by him. my compliments to “Cousin Bob” and Ike—may peace soon be restored to our bleeding country, and you all be permited to enjoy the society of loved ones at home. my compliments to “Miss Julia” Kiss Ed for me. & oblige your friend
