I take my pen in hand this morning to write you a few lines to let you know how get along I am well as common and hope thease few lines will find you all well and in good health last Sabbath our Regt went out to the old Bullrunn Bridge to build a new Bridge whare the old burnt up our company and few others staid and built it the rest come back we have orders to go in the field I Suppose we take up our line of march to day for theroughfare gap in a mong the mountaings / about twenty to twenty five miles from whare we are now we are goin to give old lee fits we have got just whare we want him I hope we will have good Sucksess Success in capturing his whole force thare is no news newes of impportance to write this George Kinglon got his wright arm burnt puty bad he got fooling by the stove and he fell in the boiling hot soup Peter is well as common and Em lovejoy bad Kauff is giting beter so he is around thare is nothing more to write this time give my love to all and write often and I will do the same and I will write again soon so good By for this time from your
