Dear wife I again
set down to adress you a few liens hoping you are all well I received a letter to day from Calven Karnes he saide you was able to work again how glad I ame to heare you are geting well once more again I hope our little ons are well again I can imagin I can see them skiping around over the lot I wish you woulde let me know if Wisner has paide you that money for the Brick whitch I furnished for the church and how mutch money you have on hands Malvina be as saving as you can of your money but I want you to live well when I get back I do not know what I will follow it apears as if Brick making is being caried on heavely in Bluffton I want to try and buy / a peice of land when I return if I can make a raise of the money my wages here is one hundred & thirty dollars per month and I have got to furnish my own clothes & boarde I ame as saving of my money as I can be Goverment at this time ows me foure hundred dollars but how soon I will get paide I cannot say let me know what is going on in Bluffton I can reade your writing very well when you write to Harter get some one to write who can write better than you do. but you write to me if you are able to do so for I woulde rather receive a letter from you than all the rest of the worlde put together I received a letter a few days ago from brother Will he is not very well they / had a young daughter a few days ago he says they are going to move to Oragan or Calafornia in the spring coming we have to drill three times a day Batalion in the morning before breakfast for one & a halfe hour and company drill from 9 oclock AM to 11 oclock AM and company drill again in the afternoon from 4 oclock untill 6 oclock and then dress parade the Bluffton Boys are all well and are at this time in front of my tent playing marble write as soon as this comes to hand
