Dear Friend & Comrad
your kind letter recd in due time I should written sooner but Clark was taken worse & passed away last Tuesday the 22 at 4 PM He has been failing for some time but was able to be up & down every day till last tuesday he was taken with a hard chill & soon became unconcious & remained so till the end He dident seem to suffer any pain just a gradual sinking & died without a struggle / And those that stood by his bedside could hardly tell when he died
The funeral was held at the House on thursday 2 PM
Although it is hard very hard to give him up i wouldent call him back to suffer as he has done
Si I cant write very much now but will write more particulars soon
The picture looks very natural & we all thank you for it. I will send you one of mine as soon as I can get some taken
