Frank I am on Board the arago yet wee lye at fort monroe now I Dont know how long I feel some Better to Day A Bout 200 hundred reported sick on Board write every week
 
I have jest crald oup on Deek my lages is soo weak that I can hardly stand oup tell Sister to write to me when I land on shore if that ever is I write the whole perticklear sence I left home          Asa Holmes
 
Nov 27th three oclock in the morning the Letters leave the vessil in fifteen minettes I had to git out of my Bunk I cogh so hard I could not ly theare I cant ly down nore set oup good by to all
 
I have got $12.00 in my pockett now to help my self with when I git on shore give thease versis to mary A Delia
 
Write how much                     got for his Brother
 
I never knewd what hard ship was till now    frank dont you suffer for eny thing as long as there money left
