Fort Monroe Dec 1st 1862 I recieved your to day glad to hear that you was well I am sorry to here sister have so mutch sickness she must have good courage I feel some Better we came on shore yesterday and put oup our tents I dont know how long I saw Horis & Charles yhesterday for fore weeakes we are all on shore now in camp I have not herd from my chek & mony since I sent it I thank you for your kindness to send me some things you need not send eny I want you to write every week            Direct Fort Monroe as you Did the other
