Frank I am a live yet I think we shant stay here but a fiew days longer we had a Doctor from neworleans yhesterday to examing ous what is sick will stay here and the rest will go on I have Ben vaxinated for the kind pox tha have got the mumps here now the heads of a great many of them is Big as A Baskett I never never had them I think I can stand them for I have stood Every thing yet I shall Be to home one of thease Days we Don’t git Eny papers here to read tha keep ous ignorent A Bout the war you no more about the war than I do here it is A specklation nothing Else I hope you are all well and doing well my respeck to all Especilay to my Enemys Asa Holmes
