Frank I write to inform you that the 114 Regment are here we got hear this morning Thear is five thousand soldiers here now Redey to go oup the Bay to open the Blockade Retret here and the salt springd witch the Rebels hold the cars has gon Back anfter A nother load of Solgerz I dont know how long we shall stay here thear will Be tha say 8000 thousand when we start from here thear is four gun Boats here Redey to start when you here from me A gain you will here that we have Ben in A harde Batle this ma Be the last letter from me Be A good Boy see that you git all that mony I let Mr Lewis have and make good use of it this is fourteen letters I have wrote to you and I aint got no answer yet if we stay here A week you will here from me again than I write the pertickeler’s wrote to sister the other Day write every weeak to me and then it will be four weeks Before I will git it I will put fifty cents in this letter for you. when we left Baltimore Company A had 100 hundred able for duty now tha cany raise 50 men for duty the remainder sick go to school all the time and take pains to learn for that is Beter than mony no wone Cant git that from you Shun all Bad Company bewear of all Eating and Drinking Saloons and card plaing ceep you har comb, Boots Black Evry Day Cleans Close apear every Day A like use every one well use no Bad language at all, for I have experience the whole of it to my sorrow, from your father
