Frank I have a few moments time I will write a few lines to inform you my cough is no better it hangs on good I am geting prety weak I think I shall see the Doctor Soon and if I do I shall Die for tha dont give nothing but Quinine for all cases makes no diference what ailes him Doc. wagner dont mount to straws for a Doctter I have my own judgement About Doctrin my self I have ben sick Anough to Die but made no complaints to no won I hads liver die as to take thear Quinine I had as live take
so much calomel every day it would not hurt me as bad as the Quinine tha take every Day we get no war news here as late it is a lively time hear noise with solgers and caverley to see them ride over the cain fields and ditches on the run it would make your hear stick oup and the Batrey I will to see them fire on the run and wheel the horses round on the galop tha have got the fort most done. this is an important place to gard against the Rebels it cuts them of from the gulf and the misisipey river from texas you will see Buy this river which
