Frank, well I ceap writing whither I git A letter or not if you and Mary A D dont wanter write to me I wount ask you to. I am A bout the same as when I wrote the other letter I have not got but one paper yet I think it is couris I shant look for Eny more then I shant be disapointed when the mail arives hear I think if you write once a week I should think I git one in A month from the time you write it ma be that you dont git half of the letters I write to you and Mary A D. so I will excuse you this time god knowes I have wrote letter to you to git A answear some time another I will close that. Eliza I saw one pearson to day I did not dream of seeing hear it was frebourn Slocoumb he is in the 176 Regment this Regment is in camp at the fort I did not have time to talk with him but A short time I am A going sunday to see him I was glad to see him or Eny one that uster live in oxford he has not benn here but three days he only enlisted for nine months his time is out in july good for him I wish my time was out as soon as his time is. tell mary A D to be sure and send Elroy likeness write oft and frank tha are having fun from the Batery throwing shells acrost the river at the Rebels caverly how tha cutteard when the shells Bursted Amonkes them thear was About one hundred of them the gun Boat has gone oup to the fort to shell them if tha come back A gin and the Batery take them Below I think we shall have fun Enough Before morning things is shaping like it vary mutch the high officers are vary Bisey Riding Back an forwards tha thear was sampling was oup we will soon know lett it work I hope we shall have A fight I wanter see some look in there Britches and tha will find something A Bout as Big as A Rutt thear is A grate many plaing oup sick so tha wount hafter go in Battle tha think But it wont do them Eny good tha will hafter fight or run. I wount make sick it is Bad enough to Be sick and not make it I drother fight an sa that of me. give my love to all of my friends also to gaberil Bartle tell him I A live yet and also to his wife for her kindness to me tell mother I think of her But I dont know as I shall see her ever A gain tell her that I am A grate ways from her
