Frank I am on the gain I have Benn walking A round this morning & it dont tire me so mutch as it has for A fiew days Back I have no news this morning to write I write to pass Away the time. wall the most excitement is this morning tha have got the mules harness oup & thear is A Bout fifty teams of them all in one string and tha have grate times I tell you the ones that are Braking them are the ones that was taken prisnors mostley of them tha are texieans & Louisanas tha have taken the oath of alegence to the support of the union and have gon to work for the goverment I stated in my other letter Before this of this mule Braking. wall thear is Another thing that pleassis me to see theas Big planters around the provost marshels offis with two solgears garding them one on each side of him with gun loaded & Bayyonett on tha cant walk the streets without A gard tha must feel Rather cheap placed ounder our solgears. Frank I hope you have got all of my letters I wrote in the month of April thear must be Eight of them Before this ceap them all. I think now I shall Be in oxford in july or august that apears to Be the talk hear to day I hope it will Be so thear apears to Be A mistake about the 114 Regement not going on to washington and swor in thear. and now tha say tha cont hold ous But nine month Enyhow I hope it is so tha say we stand as the nine mounths men do we will soon know for our nine month will Be oup the first day of may if it so thear will Be A grate meny happy ones
 
wall Frank how dos Erwin Church git A long dos he think he will Be drafted and hafter go and leave his wife what dose he think A Bout it how is john church is he as Big A sess as ever or has he found out the diferance yet I hope those eaint was hear in the Rebel army with the Rebels prisnors Eny man that will favour the south oughter Be shot write down it is A nough to hear some of the prisnors say how tha was drag into the army or Be shot write off tha sed tha was not A gonter fight for a fiew rich men and politisions. our peace men at the north are as mutch in favor of the south as the Rebels are themselfs and always have Benn sence the war comence and thease peace democrats have Benn criing out peace and still all the while in favor of the south tha all of them ourter Be in prision with the Rebels or in hell Frank if your hear A man or woman talk peace peace spit in his fase god dam him I have seen and heard Anough of it if tha had Benn whear I have Ben and seen as mutch as I have tha would not cry peace tha would say give them no peace tha would sing Another tune put them down with the sword till tha yealded walk through them as general Banks did with his army cut them right & left that is the way to do it as Banks has done it he has quell louisana the Rebels are vary peacable now hear in this state Banks sent A army oup A River in the northern part of the state A hundred miles from the misisipa and could not see A Rebel fource tha found two steam Boats & three other Boats all deserted
