Harrisburg Camp Carter
Dear friends i take the oppertunity to inform you that iam well and the rest of them is well and i hope that your in the same state of health we halve marching orders sept 8 to go to hagerstown Marland but we have not got all of our equipments yet but we will soon halve them there is a bout 10 thousand soulders here in camp and there is some a comeing in every day and som aleaving we will leave on monday th 8 about 9 oclock there is Cesationis her for they halve bin aselling the boys pies and cakes with poising in them there is 8 of our men bin poisened but they are about well and the Capt has forbid it and every one that buyes makes the seller eat first thomas and / Jesse Carter is in another tent
