Dear friends it is with greattest pleasure that sit down to let you how we are agetting along we are all well at Present Thommas has bin sick but he is well now he was well enoug to march 8 miles and cary his bagage we halve advanced 8 miles toward baltimore to Munktown we halve abetter plase to stay we are in the Balt to gard the Railroad we halve better water here than we had at Parkton St i think we will stay here a while now they said that we would stay about 4 month they say that the rebbles are within 9 miles of this plase and we will halve some thing to now we halve bin adoin nothing long a nough while we are at the sation thare was a lot of our boys out a hunting / grapes and they wer shot at and they went under double quick for they wer about a half amile out they had no arms we could get out of camp by leaveing our hat but they would not let us out with our arms E Coneway was the closest there are abundance of these larg graps larger than our tame grapes ther is the nicest country that evry iseen there is plenty of foot here and abundance of apples we halve lots of Cider my self and benj Hawthorn went about amile from the station to another town while thomas was sick and i got apint of whiskey and paid 25 cents for it they lanlord was atraitor we got some Chinkapins they are like Chestnuts only they grow on bushes we halve not got any letter since we halve came out and we would lik to here from you very well the Cares is passing here all the time /
