Dear parrents,
yours of the 26th was receeve ed and was glad to here from you and to here that you all well I am well only my arm and I dont think that it will ever come strait I think it cut one of the Leaders off in two I cant rais my arm up out of the sling but I halve the use of my hand it all lays in the elbow for the ball went in on the in side of my arm where the leaders all comes to gather I also receeve ed the money and stamps if we had of stade at washington we could of got payed but the pay master was here / the day before we came and we will get 4 or 6 months the next time they pay us we get 16 dollars a month now you nead not rite answer this till you get a nother letter from me I halve not herd from the regment yet since i left there is nothing more at presant
