Dear Parents
I seat my self to scribble you Afew lines to let you no how I am A getting A long I am well and hope these few lines may find you all the same I halve not had the chance to right or do any thing else sence we started for I halve bin a way from the train nearly every since we started til to day I got to wash and change Clothing Oliver had all of my things in his wagon I halve bin camping with the Rebs for some / and had A very hard time of it for we had to go day and knight to keep up with the trupes and after they surendered I had my load of amunition isued and had to go and help hall the Canon and Guns away I seen Jolly while I was there I got some of there serip I will send you some of it well i will Close for this time your sun
