your letter was receeveed yesterday and I was glad to here from you and the rest of the family your letter found me in good health and also the rest of the Boys you said that you seen my pickteur that i sent to Elisa Jane and and said that Just looked like me I dident fix up any to get it taken for i went over to see them a taken other mes and took a notion to get mine taken but it is more naturel than the one i sent you last winter for that was taken / Just after I had got over that sick spell well it is a raining some here now and it looks as if it wouldent sease soon well the boys has a great time here a taking a bout Mclenin and Abe but for my part if i hav a vote nether of them can get it I would rather they would not let the army vote atal for it will Just make a disturbance in the army if they do Altho Abe has done well al but one thing and no other one could of don better with the exception of the Contraban he had no business of a meddleing with them untill this rebelon was put doun then that was the time to at tend to these things I am in for the one that can put this rebellion / doun there is nothing else of any im portance soi will Close for the pres ant from your dutiful sun                        George.
