Dear Mother
I receaveed your kind wellcome on the 21 and was glad to here from you and to here that you was all well it found us all well I am as well as ever i dont know how the report got home that i was doun with the feaver and Thomas we got that in a letter I wasent very for some two weeks but I am well now we was payed off yesterday we got 26 00 dolar and i will send $10 dollars in this letter and will send some in the next one it rained nearly all day yesterday and is the heir is cooll to day turn over /
you said that Letter was good enough to publish in the Clipper but it was not well enough ritten nor some of the words is not speled right and i dont want you to put it in for there is plenty of room for improvement in it i halve not much to rite this time soiwill close by saying i still remain your sun George. W. Carter
