Dear Father itake this oppertunity to in form you that iam well at present and i hop these few lines may find you in the same health Thomas was not able to start on this march and him and George Rolston went with the sick and ithink that they are at washington City or elexandre the rest of the boys is on picket now I halve seen William Barker since we camped here and John simmons there Cavelry passed here last evening we are vary glad to here that the Ladies of our / Toun has Come out on the right side the boys from toun sends 3 Cheers for the he ladies that took the flag from the toun Garriles and I hope that they may hold out faith full there is nothing more this time so istill remain your obedient sun George .
