Camp on the RapidanVa
well Mother i seat my self this morning for the purpose of scribleing you a few lines to let you know That I am well at present and I hope these few lines may find you all in joying the same state of health The rest of the boys is well also we halve bin a throwing up Rifle pitts in front of our regment we are in the first Briggade and are a supporting the Pickets This morning Looks as if we are a going to halve rain soon we halve not had any since we came here there is some of the rebs a comeing over every day / and They take the Oath and they say that there would Bee a greate many more come if they wasent afraid of our men ashooting them a comeing through the Lines well I sent tenn dollars in a letter that i sent To Harriette There is nothing a going on a bout here of any im portance so i will close
