Dear Mother I
seat my self this nice day to scribble you a few Lines to Let you know that I am well at present and I hop when these few Lines comes to hand they may find you and the rest of the family may in Joying the same health we are still in the same camp they are a going to settle up this time the Clothing my bill is 84 dollars and some sents and Ben and mee wont get any pay this time and I wish you would send mee 500. dollars for to baco is very carce here for the sutlers has not bin up for some weeks the Navy plugs is from 350 to 400 aplug I wish father would send our boots out as soon as he can / For we began to neede them The rest of the boys is the same
