once more take this opper tunity of scribbleing a few lines to lett you know how I am a getting a long I am well at presant and I hop those few lines my find you all in Joying the same good health I halve not receeveed them things yet that you sent mee but I am a looking for them this evening or else tomorrow evening they will Bee here a gainst Newyears and that will do as well I receeveed the socks that you sent By mail they was very good ones Ben was a going to come home a new years but this Reinlisten has stopped the furlous for 30 days and then he will come he gets the first one that comes to the Company the orderly has Bin home and returned the other day there is nothing a going on here of any im portance only it is very / mudy and wet under foot The rest of the Boys is well so i will close for the presan I still remain your sun George W Carter
