Dear Sir
            I take My Pen for the Purpos of writing you a few lines We are all well our country is in a Prosporous Condition We have had verry good crops here for the last two years and have been geting good Prices for Every thing I am feeding over 2 Hundred head of Cattle this winter and about 3 Hundred Hogs I have 24 head of Horses & Mules on hand now but will sell the most of them this spring I have some verry fine ones—I Se By the Papers that you are a having Excessive freshets in your country and causing greate Damage to Property and life Give my best Wishes to all of the friends there I should like to have a letter from you Direct to Burlington Coffey County—I am going to New Mixico and Arizona Terrtory in April to Buy me a Stock Ranch I am on a traid for a Ranch and 12 Hund Cattle & 50 Horses            Resp    S J Carter
