Dear Father
I sit down this morning to let you know how I am getting along the Diarrhea is not so bad as it was and am in hopes that I will soon be well we were yesterday paid 2 months pay $26.00 all the sick got it that were out of money I have not received a letter from you since the 2nd of June and I cannot see why they do not come to me as they are sent from the front here but they do not come to the Hospital Postoffice One of our boys by the name of McKinney was up to see me and the Captain will be down to night from Knoxville and then I think I will go back to the old camp there until I get well Well I believe that I have given you all the news that I can think of at present as I am still very weak / and cannot write much at a time Enclosed you will find $10 and you do not need to send the $2.00 if you have not done so before this reaches you Do not write until you hear from me again
