Plainfield N. H. july 27th
Dear Mother yuor you must excuse me for not writeing before but I have not had time to sit since I got to Brattleburo which was last wednesday and the Col. told us that we could not be mustered out of the service till the last of this week and that we might all go home and stay till tuesday so I came to Claremont the next day I shal go back to Claremont tomorrow and the next day go back to Brattleburo and perhaps be at home saturday or monday the people here and at Claremont are all well /
Cousin Martha is here at Uncle westgates with me she sends her love I dont think of eny more worth writeing but will write again when I get to Brattleburo So good by for to night
PS I shal go up to Grand Fathers to nigh morrow
