Dear Father I take this opertunety to writing yow a few lines to let yow now that I am well at presant and hoping these few lines will find yow and all the folks are the same but pap I have got them liteneses that Mother sent me but I was glad to see them but pap if yow have got very much work to doe and if yow want me to come home to help yow in the shop yow write to Genral McClenand at Washington Citey & tell him that yow want me dis Sharged from the armey / that I aint 18 years old & you tell him that yow wodant let me come onley if they give me that job and tell him wat compnay I belong to & wat redgtment Co B 3rd ohio redg and pap then I will come home & help yow in the shop and if James Hall is in Louisvill tell me when yow write but pap I will get paid off now in a few days and I dont think that I will get very much money for they are a going to take out the pay for my clothes that I got / but pap I wood like to be ther a helping yow make chanes but pap when I come home I low to doe wat is write & work all I can but I never wood have inlested if Mike King hadent promest me that job ove work but pap tell Johney Mother that I wrote a leter to her sence I got on the last one but I aint got eney anser yet but pap yow get Mr hase to write to Genral McCleland for yow write a way So that is all at presant So direct youre leter to Elisebth town Ky in care ove Capton Wing Co B 3rd ohio redgt ovm /
