Dear Brother I take my pen in hand to let yow now that I am well at presant & I hope those few lines may find yow oll in the same state of helth well Lurestin I reseaved 3 letter and I will ancer them now well Lurestin we left B Green a bout 3 weeks a goo & and we started for Nashvill and hit took us 4 days to go and when we got there the Rebles oll left and we capturd a good eal of meet and floure & tents but Lurestin we got paid of to day and we will get paid of a gain in a few weeks / they are a making out the pay roles and we will get paid of pirty soone but Lurestin if old Elsey moore comes out to camp I will send some money home with him I have got 13 dolars and 55 cents & if he cont come I will wait untill I get paid of a gain & then I will send hit home to pap then I will have just 50 dollars to send then and I will send hit to gethe but we cant get paid untill the pay roles is made out a gain but the pay master wont go a way untill we are paid a gain but Lurestin I didant tell you a bout / the Navey Revolvers oure men capturd they captured 2 hunderd of the revolvers and we got one canons but Lurestin yow wanted to now how I like Solgern I like hity first strate now but I think we will oll get home be fore long but Lurestin tell J B McKee that I want him to right to me and tell John B Williams to write and let me now how thing is a going on and tell me ho is a working in the Shops & yow tell me something a bout that Mill that he has got I heard that he had bot old David McCartney hoses and wagon / and tell me where that mill is but Lurestin old Bud sed he wood right to you be fore long and he is holing oll the time oll the Barnesvill Boys is well [paper fold] Charles McCown will write to yow be fore long right soon and direct to Nashvill Tennessee Co B 3d ohio Redgt in care of capt James H Wing
