Dear Brother I take the plasure of writing yow a few lines to let yow now that I am well at presant & hoping when those few lines comes to hand they may find yow in the same helth well Lurestin I reseved too letters one was dated may the 8 & the other the 2 of may & I am a ancering bouth of them yow sed that yow oure men had taking new orleans I heard that but wh we heard that oure men had taking Richmond but I ges it is not so / yow sed that finle Biler wanted to no wether I got that letter or not tell him that I did not get his letter if I had of got it I wood a ancerd it but Lurestin there was a flag of truse came in here the other day & they exchanged prisners with them well yow sed that yow was a go I out to of send money my money home I will send a good lot when I get paid I will send a bout 35 dolars if can get a chance & tomey meser is a going to send some to pap but we wont send it with out there is a good / chance but yow wanted to no when Bill Riley was a coming home well I dont know but as soon as he gets his dischare but Bill Lee tillman he died at Muffersbro I think but did his father go after him or not but that Bridge that pap wanted me to draw it of fore him but I cant do it for it is Burnt down
