Camp Taylor Ala ougst 6th 1862
Dear Father I take the presant opertunety of riting yow a few lines to let yow now that I am well and hoping when those few lines comes to hand thay may find yow enjoying the Same Blesings well Pap I havent not got much news to rite at presant but we have bin a Bilding Breast works and there is a bout 2 hundard nigars a working at it but I am on guard to day and O Barnes was a coming to Barnesvill to recruit and yow get oll yow can for him and get / web folger. but pap Luit Patterson is a going coming with him and yow can see him so I havent not got time to rite no more but rite soone give my Best respecks to Oll of my enquiring friends
