Lee Carolyn to Santa Claus, 3 December 1934
723 Carmel Ave.,
Albany, Cal.,
Dec. 3, 1934.
Lee Dear Santa Claus:
I love you a thousand bits. I like the things you gave me last Christmas. The things I had for last Christmas are lasting well, but I do love the Patsys you gave me best.
I hope you will come again and bring me lots of things.
Now, Santy, if you come, bring me a green Skippy bowl and a big doll buggy. Also a green spoon for to eat the corn flakes in the green Skippy bowl. Then I want a big paint book Santy you’re a nice boy if anybody was. Garters for daddy—some dark, dark, blue ones and some light red bed night pajamas would be nice /
Now I want some beach pajamas for me and a red dress and a green dress. I want a straight-haired statue to stand on the mantle and I want a red bowl with birds on it to stand with flowers in it in my room. Santa Claus, pretty Santa Claus, I’m short on dresses and I want some red beach pajamas and also a green pair with little birds on it and then the other red ones with two or three robin red-breasts sitting together on a leaf. I think a radio—a little one for me and a sewing machine for me, and a tick-tock thing not for anybody but me. I want a picture of the little Lord Jesus and Mary with a crown on her head.
Lovingly
Lee Carolyn.
