                                                            In Camp At Kingston. Georgia.
 
            Sar. John. Morgan.
I seat my self once more to write you a few lines hoping to finde you in good health. I and all they boys are all well at this time I recived your letter with pleas[ure] i was very glad to hear from you. & was glad to hear that you have read that Letter to Dr Cleapper. & if i was back their dam him I wood Riddel his damed hide. he lettel thinks that this war his dam near over & that we will steap in befor he his ready to meat us. We have run the rebels from dolton to Resaca Georgia and had a 4 days fight when Johnson Johnson with his force had to take to thare laggs and git from befor us and they are not stopt yat. and / our Calvrey are giveing it to them in the Ass and som times we get up with them and give them a round or two to make them get out of our road. We have onily lost one man killed and three wounded out of our regment. none from out of our Company the boys are all full of the devil. Pet Butcher sands word for you to kiss his dogs ass [tiny picture of a man, then a dog: “John Morgan after Pet dog”]. Pet sands his best respicts to you and all the reast of our boys sands the same I must close for this time for we are a goun to march give my best respicts to all of My freands and recve the same your self.
