Dear Bro Hen
I received your welcome letter yesterday. It takes a good while for a letter to come here I don’t know how it is C.D. Fuller & Berger started for home day before home day before yesterday. I guess you have seen them before this.

The Yesterday morning Saml Davis & Saml Baker were up to bid me good bye they said their regiment was going home I seen them march out of the woods where they were encamped but I heard afterward that marched towards Mercersburg just in an opposite direction from / home. I saw Frank Lambauch on Sunday & Monday he marched to Mercersburg too. It is pretty hard to tell when we will start for home some think in a week others think not for a month.

I wish you would send me some weekly Japers time goes around very slow with nothing to do. How is the Drafting going on in town or havent they drafted yet.

Charles Earp is a first fellow as good a mess mate as I want to have up to all kinds of fun not afraid of work. Love to Mother & Bros & Sisters same to yourself
