well bil I
have got a few moments to write and I will improve them in writing to you I sent $25.00 from Elmyra to Lote and my close I have not heard from them yet I should like to know if she has got them or not I sent for a box of thing my shoes some tea tobaco camphor and so on I want a bll of them sent to me with the express charges on it some of the other boys wants some of it and then I can tell what it cost they are still fighting I heard this morning they wer agoin to Detail some of our Company to go to the front but we cant tell we hear all sorts of news in camp but there is one thing certain when they say go we are ready /
 
Bill write me all of the news who helps Father do the work and how he gets along with it have you had eny frost it is verry warme and plesant the most of the time tell Lote I should like very much to see her and Jeny my best wishes to them
