this morning finds me seated in ans to yours of the 16th which I received this morning Deal you wrote me you had sent me a box and some money I have received both we have just got back from the front one week ago night before last at 11 oclock we started got up there at 8 oclock in the morning drawed 60 rounds of cartrages. I onley shot 2 guns while I was gone we got back to camp at 11 oclock yesterday it seems good to get back to the old camp again we have had a hard time of it it was cold the ground froze the hardest that ever I saw it
Deal we had not been in Camp long before that box came and the boys all say it was the nicest box that has come to company G I tell you it come just the rite time we was drilled clear out tired and Hungry you may bet I had some thing to eat once / Deal. I think the box I got from Lote was a little the best of corce. the Saucage is a nice thing it is good enough for enny body. tomorrow is Christmass the frosted cake is for our Christmass it has been kep to long it has got bugy there is big black bugs in it the Potatoes is froze the tobaco was scatterd on the Cakes and cookeys it had got on caped and it sifted over the things
