My Dear Nila I now take my pen in hand to write you a few lines to let you know that I am still alive and well or at least I think that I ought to be for I weigh 1.54 1/2 pounds I am as tough as can be I received aletter from you last weak and was glad to hear from you and to hear that you was well and I hope that you will continue so you wrote about one hubbard that was in the armey well you had better loock before you leap is all that I have got to say and now Nila I cant think of aney newes to write I have written to fathers folks to day / if you know aney newes pleas write and let me know for it is all the newes that I get and now Nila I want you to hold fast to your profesion and adorn your life with a well orderd life and a godley conversation you know what to do to the Children for me please write soon and may god take care of you and save you all is the prayer of your husband
