Well Nila when I got in from choping I found a letter from you and was very glad to hear from you and to hear you wer all well and am happey to inform you by this that I am well and tough as ever with the exception of having grown so fat that my pants are very tight you know that you and Mrs Beals thought that they would not pinch me well I fill them prettey well I cant button the top button and the legs lags legs are tight now Erastuses health is good Ford and the rest are better /
Oh nila last weak I got a letter from Mr Pay he says that the intrest in religion has prettey much died out oh nila do not give up the hope that has ben raised up in your heart and ask god to keep you in that strait and narrow way that leads to eternal life and prey that god will bless those that have once started for mount zion trust in god and ask him to Bless us all and save us with an everlasting salvation is my earnest prayer every night I ask god to bless you all keep you safe from all sin and spair your life and health if it is his will /
we have got so that we have to wear our white Cotton Gloves on Dress Perade and inspection we have to black our boots and shine generaley you better guess that we have some thing to Doe I have received both of your letters that you have sent 4 stamps in and was glad of them we have not got our pay yet we expect to get it in January but cant tell the boys ow me 10 Dolars and when I get my money I shall send you some and I shall tell you then what to do with it you wrote that your things would take your money you can get some of Newton use what you want /
I must close now I must write to Fathers folks and it is late now and I hav sat hear till my aches kiss my Children give my love to all enquiring friends and mutch oblige
