Dear Venila thinking that you would like to hear from your All I now seat my self on the wood pile in this plase to let you know how wee get alonge well wee have got alonge some I have just ben down to the house that Elsworth was killed in and I send a small peice of it in this letter to you I suppose that wee shall leave hear to day and I dont know whear wee shall go but some whare I suppose wee are all well and in good spirits at present wee marched from Camp Casay yesterday to this plase I sent 20 Dolars to winslow when I left worcester /
 
I want you all to remember me in your prairs and rest ashured that I am striveing to folow my master and do my Deutey tell all the folks that I think of them all I want you to kiss the Children for me and tell them that father thinks of them every hour I want them to bee good Children and mind mother
