I rcieved your letter of the 29 last evening I was very glad to hear that you ware all well. my health is very poor you said that you heard William was wounded in the fight at Murfreesboro and you wanted me to try and find him I do not know how I can do it I am at Murfreesboro and the wounded are nearly all in Nashville about thirty miles from here there is a few in Murfreesboro if he is in toun I will try and find him but if he is not it would be useless for me to try any any further for there is hospitals all along the road from here to Nashville and that place is full of them there is about a hundred hospitals that contanes the wounded of that great battle So you see it will be very hard for me to find him / I would give allmost anything almost if I knew whare he is if I could see Capt Williams perhaps he could tell me whare Will is but I I think the best way will be for me to write to Williams and if he cant tell me whare Will is I dont think I can find him that is the onley chance I see if you get a letter from Will I want you to write and give me his adress I think he will certainly write to you if he is alive I will do what I can to find him but a soldier has a poor chance for such things that unless it can be done by writing now be as easy as you can about him and I think we will soo hear from him Maria them Gloves you sent me has not come yet the letter with the stamps came all right I dont know you will get another letter from me for I am out of envellops and no money to get any more good by
