Elizabeth Faulkner to Alice Judson, undated
                                                                                                            Sunday evening
Well My dear Alice things have changed some since I wrote the last. I am not going to morrow, am so glad I did dread to go alone so much. Perhaps soon the ladies will all leave camp together as the officers do not deem it prudent for them to remain here longer than this week. I hear the old Elder praying for the soldiers now. I guess he is praying for the benefit of those that did not go. You cant imagine how good we can hear here. I have often passed a tent and heard them talking things that I would not care to be told to my face by some of them these cloth homes are no place for secrets. Good night—Pleasant dreams Pa sends love to both you and Mary
