Dear Aunt
we receivd the painfull news to day that Brothr Myron is Dead we all feell as if we could not stand the Stroke / his remains will probly stay whare they are. the funeral will be on sundy a weak from to morrow we would like to hear have you come out to the funeral if Conveniant I canot write much at presient I copyed of willises letter, word for word, as I thought you would wanto now what Will wrote

From your brothir Al we feel the death of Myron had laid waste all our future calculations the fibres of parental affection had taken strong root with great hopes for the for the future to receive such news without any warning all our calculations are blasted The hopes of old age is gone and may the Lord help M H Cook
