Well Nila the time is near at hand when I shall have to start and god onley knows what I shall meet or wheather I ever write you again but I shall start trusting in god as my onley shield in the day of Battle we shall start tomorow morning if not before and report says we are going up the valley but I dont know we are orderd th to have five days rations and an extra / pair of shoes in our knapsack And now nila I want you to write just as often as though we wer hear and I will write to you when I can and if you do that perhaps I shall gett some of your letters I do not write to you a bout this because I am afraid to go But I thought that perhaps you would want to know of it from your All
