Well Chaunce I have played smart I expect well to start on I will tell you what I have done I have had $10.00 per month of my waiges alloted to you you can have the use of half of it yourself and the other half of it I want you to send to Martha S. Wilber and no boddy els unless I give you diferent orders and I could of left it in the State treasury till I come back but I thought that some boddy might as well have the use of it as not I have not found out yet / just exactly what you will have to do the way I understand it they send you a receipt for you to sign and also a sertificate asking you what bank you will have a draft on &c it dont cost me or you any thing if you will be kind enough to do this business for me you are wellcome to the use of half of it I dont know of any news to write this time some of the boys says that if was at home again they would not enlist again but not this child I would like to have you come and see me if you can for I dont think that / I can get a furlough not till the maried men have all gone home any way I wish that you would send me some more postage stamps if you can and you must keep an account of it and I will make it all right some time if I ever do. answer this if you please give my respects to every boddy yours
