            I received your letter last night and was glad to hear from you I am well at present and enjoying my self as well as I can I have bin out on a scot but wee did not see any thing wee got close to some of them but not close an nouf to catch them I catch won of thare horses but cold not get the man he jump from the horse be fore I cold get him and mad good his escape when I saw the horse I thought shour that I had him the horse was a good won he had won of our rigs on complet in evry thing he had on his horse a par of pans and some horse shous and nails won of them had / on an officrs rig complet shoulder straps on to and he look like won of our officrs the bushwackers is not as thick now as thay was most evry man in our Battalion has bin sent out on a scot wee chase them of thay are offul fraid of our boys when wee catch won he is gon up You spoke of sarah of bin kinder slited but I think she is mad at me when I wrote to her she wrote back aputy sausy leter to me but I hope she ante mad at me but If she is I cant help it I think I used her like a lady and she used me well I had my watch stoelen from me sin I came back I tuck my pans of and put them under my head and when I woke up in the morning it was mising I went to the Liutenant / and told him of it and when he herd rvill call he told them of it and had them serch but could not find it with them nor I cant find it Daphne if you plese I wish you wold send them Photograph that I left on the clock shelf when I left I wish I had bin thare when you was driven the reaper to see you I think I wold had to laugh but I think you wold make a good driver you sow stout Thare is some talk of ous of gowing to piney to escort the stage again I supose the yong men are arfraid of this draft thare eys stick out a bot this time you must fore give me fore this poor riting I wrote this in the horse stable and wrote it in hury be fore drill is a coming off puty soon
