I have made up my mind not to write to them until thay write to me I may hear more from thare when All gets back if I do I wil let you know Has thare ben any rain in your section of country thare has ben some here I recon the river is about 2 miles wide and it is a doing considerable damage it has washed off lots of houses here and wood belonging to government about 200 cords of wood have gone on down

We hear thare is a good many / soldiers to come up the river destined for East Tenn it is reported that thare is 100,000 to come up that is a very good Army Well thay wil have a good time to come up now thare is a plenty of water I cant see who thay are a going to fight down thare I have not heard of any Rebs in that direction
