Dear Sarah I again seat my self to rite a few lines to you hoping they will find you and lisey well and dooing well as thank God it leaves me and all the rest of the boys well I thought I would rite a little this morning as their is some talk of our leaving hear to morow but their is no telling when we will leave we may have to leave to day and we ma not leav for a week or two I would like to come home and se / you and the pet and all the best of the friends the best in the world but I dont know wether I will get to or not yet if I get to com I will be their before you get this but if I dont get to com you must content your self and pray that the time ma soon com that I ma be purmited to re turn to enjoy your society we are dooing well hear now we have lots to eat and nothing hardly to do we get all the lite bred we want and all the Meet we want and rice Potatoes Molases Sugar Coffe and beans we dont lack for any thing to eat or drink We have good places to sleep /
 
I received your letter that you sent by Dspain I was very glad to hear from you and to hear that you ware well in body and I hope you will try and become reconsiled to your fate I no it is a hard trile for you I now that it is much worse for you than for me for I have something to draw my attention all the time but you have nothing to attract your attention but doo for my sake content your self and cast your care on Geases and dont forget to pray I would be as well satesfided as I ever was in my life if I only knew you ware contented and happy /
 
I will now tell you that Bob was taken prisner in the richmond fite he was paroled he was hear last tuesday but he went home he did not know I was hear he will be back to day I have saw stephen Clark and harmon Mitchell and lots of the boys that I ust to know I must now come to a close for the preasant hoping to remain your true and loving husband untill deth Wm Forder
