My Dear wife I now seat my self to write you a few lines as I am onn guard and have got to stay up the first part of the night and hear goes for you Nila I now will try and see what I can do for you although I am far away from my nila but it is the way of the world but we may thank God that our lives have ben spaird / and that our lives have ben spaird and that we have ben blessed with all the blessings and that he has crowned our lives with joy and let us thank God for the gifts that he has gave us that he has gave us those little Children to link our love togather Oh Nila how I should love to Clasp you in my arms to night but must wait and thank God that he has spaird our lives and health we may leave hear aney time I dont know / when or whear we go and we may not go atall but I shall not write aney more to night So good Night
