Dear Father
                        Sir
                                    Yours of the second came duly to hand with one Hundred dollars which is two Hundred dollars and which I shall not want not more than one year and which I thank you for what trouble You have been for me. I have got verry well started in business and think I cann make money with good management.
 
            I am Buying tiptop Butter for 16c Eggs for 14c cheese for 8 & 9c and pay all in goods I am agoing to send some Butter to Boston tomorrow morning that cost me 16c in goods which I shall get 23cts cwt. it is now. I have the offer of 50 Bus corn which I think I shall Take. In Hurry all well remember us to the folks write often. Yours Respectfully
