Dearest ones I seat my self to drop you a few lines to inform you that I am well and I hope when this comes to hand it will finde all well Dear Sarah I havent got any letter from you for 10 or 12 days but I hope there is nothing serious the matter
I got a letter from mother yesterday stating that Milton was sick and that you and lisey had bad colds but I hope you are all well by this time I trust that God will take care of us I long to se the / day when I can return to engoy your sweat society I will send you some verses that I think is very nice if they was riten by a rebble. Sarah I can tell you I think a great deal more of a man in the Rebal ranks than I do of a Coperhead North, for the one has ben misguided by his leaders while the latter has the chance to know better if he will only heed the things he hears and seas, but I dont intend to make a speach now so I will drop the subgect if any boddy want to know how I stand on the Negro question just tell them I am a Colonizationist in full /
