By telegraph from Fredericksburg to Gen J.E.B. Stuart, 5 40 pm Enemy Cavalry still reported stationary on Plank Road six 6 miles from Fredericksburg Such Dispositions have been made as will give intelligence if any movement against central RR  Scouts have been sent which I hope will soon give accurate information of Enemy movements have only two pieces artillery  can you send(?) Thompsons Battery  can’t keep my cavalry in the wilderness  have not sufficient transportation to carry corn-so far and there is no grass
